DD7 in Thunderballs is a non stop laugh fest from start to finish. In the opening scene, six actors take the stage as the most popular actors that have played James Bond. They take on the personas very well and poke fun at their legacies. There is even a joke about SNL’s version of Sean Connery on Celebrity Jeopardy. There are also jokes about the Nintendo 64 game, GoldenEye, that will have fans of the video game in stitches. The show goes on to poke fun at the formulaic nature of the films. One such scene is when the villain leaves James Bond alone to die in an obvious setup for him to escape. Also, all the dancing and stripping is very well choreographed in a comedic manner. The crowd is laughing and applauding constantly. At the climax of the action, the female playing James Bond does a fantastic burlesque dance which serves as an excellent finale to this fantastically written and performed show.
